Bucket Filling Activity Door Display

Bucket Filling!

Promoting kindness in the classroom is incredibly important. When we create a classroom environment where kindness is valued and practiced, it has a positive impact on both students and us as teachers.

When I see someone doing something kind, respectful or for someone else, they can add a pom pom to their bucket!

By encouraging students to fill each other’s buckets with kind words and actions, we are teaching them empathy, compassion, and respect. Students leave positive notes to each other and at the end of every day, anyone can do a “shout out” and give someone a pom pom.

When students feel supported and valued by their peers, they are more likely to feel comfortable taking risks and participating actively in class. This, in turn, leads to increased engagement and success.

This is the perfect resource to help create a bucket filler display in your classroom!

Students love to work collaboratively to create a door or wall display in alignment with the idea of bucket filling. To add to the display, you can read the book and have a bucket for each student (pom poms are great to use to represent each kind act.)

Print the four coloured pages.

Laminate and place on your door or bulletin board.

Choose and print the different buckets you would like to use for your display. Either two to a page for a smaller option, or one for a larger space - students can then add different ways to be kind or positive adjectives about themselves.

Have students colour and decorate their bucket!
